The Backstory
Before building and then selling my last startup, I was a fractional developer myself for over three years! I found that I had spare time left over while at positions in large firms, and I began to take on additional work to fill my time and earn additional income.
Initially, I considered freelance work, but this required too much overhead - constant interviewing, looking through projects, getting to know new clients, and the like. By establishing long-term (1 year+) relationships with my consulting clients, I found that I was able to deliver quality work at both my full-time and fractional positions.
There are almost 5 million people in the US in software development roles - at fraction, we aim to harness the spare capacity of this workforce to help fill the 1.2M+ open software jobs in the US.
